Communication Please note that all communication will come from:

• Parent square.
  By order of KO Administration, the coach can only communicate through Parent Square. Boosters can communicate through other means but most communication will come from Parent Square to keep things simpler.

• Google Drive – We are working on setting up a google drive link password protected within our website so that you can have access to all the game photos throughout the year.

 

Training Camp

• Team Breakfast-Sparkies 8/20 after morning training – boosters will pay for this – older players with licenses are happy to coordinate rides for those who do not drive so that parents aren’t needing to drive. 

• Post training snacks provided by the boosters.

 

Media Day/Banners/Yard Signs

• Team Media Day with Ava Hurbanek 8/21 @ 12-3 pm @ the stadium – Boosters are providing a meal this day.

• School Media Day with Dylan Kickler 8/23 @ 11 am @ the High School Gym

• SENIOR Banners will be purchased from Dylan Kickler
  -Seniors will only be given 24 hours to pick a photo. These have to be Dylan’s photos (you cannot chose a Hurbanek photo).  Photos will come out on Tuesday and on Wednesday they need to have the photo chosen or the photo will be chosen for you. 
  -Girls need to confirm spelling and names to be used

• Yard Signs will be purchased from Mitchell Thompson at $10 each. You’ll get the link from the Hurbanek photos.  Once you chose the photo you would like to use please fill out the parent square form that will be sent soon from Jessica Rosser.

 

Team Gear– All provided by the boosters and do NOT need to be returned

• Sweatsuit, Jackets for girls that didn’t receive them, Warm up shirt, T-shirt

• KO Soccer Bag (courtesy of Dormont Borough)

• We have dropped “Lady” from Lady Golden Eagles & Added the KO New Logo

• NOTE: SCHOOL ISSUED UNIFORMS DO NEED TO BE RETURNED AT THE END OF THE SEASON

 

Game Day Meals

• Missy Bischof will be making the meals again.

• A parent square form will be sent out about a week in advance. Please fill out the form as soon as possible to give Missy enough time to shop and prepare the meals.

• Please notify us with any dietary restrictions/allergies – we’re happy to accommodate.

• Meals will be provided AFTER the game for the bus ride home.  Jessica Dobson will bring the meals with water and Gatorades to choose from.

• NOTE: There is a game scheduled at McGuffey on October 15 where the girls play first and the boys play second.  This day they will get a meal before and after.

• ​

Statistics

• Geoff Dobson and Chris Cratsley will be joining forces to begin a more official statistics record keeping.

 

Fundraising

Cooler of Cheer (all season)—Chair: Mary Medved and Madie Amman.

• Each family will be asked to donated 1 bottle or 1 case of alcohol.  The boosters have purchased a large Yeti Coller.

• Each player’s family is asked to sell 20 tickets at $10 each.  Everyone is welcome to sell more if they can! There is no limit on tickets.

• The raffle will be called on the last home game (10/19) at half time.
   

Sponsorships—A lot of our fundraising comes from sponsorship donations.

• Current donors: Sheetz, Millie’s, Wayne Crouse, Lugailia Mechanical, Walsh Valve, Dormont Council, Mike & Tony’s

• If you know of anyone interested in donating to the team we have a letter linked on our website to share.

• Sponsors don’t necessarily need to be financial – Ex: Dick's sponsored the youth came, Raising Canes donated baskets. We accept all kinds of things that we can sell or raffle off. Chic Fil A donates a team meal.

 

Fan Gear- Mitchell Thompson fan gear sale ends 8/24

• Delivery can be shipped directly to buyer or sent to Jessica Fabus-Rosser to be distributed at the following practice.

• Different from what the boosters are providing.
   

Concessions Stand -- Alex will be running this this year but we’re looking for someone to shadow and help to possibly pass it along for next year. 

• This is run in conjunction with the boys team.  We volunteer for the boys game and they volunteer for our games to avoid missing games.

• We also ask that when you sign up for concessions that you bring something to sell.  We also need people to sign up to sell 50/50 at our home games – not the boys games. The left-over food gets wrapped up for the kids to take after the games.

• We are asking that you sign up for two shifts on Parent Square.

50/50 raffle – we do this during our girls’ home games only.  It doesn’t take a ton of effort but is a nice way to build the bank to support all the things the girls like to do/receive.

Car Wash-Sept 13 @ Dormont Pool

• Girls will make flyers and work the car wash together.

• Not only has this been proven to be a profitable fundraiser, it doubles as team building as the girls usually have a great time with this event.

 

Events

Senior Recognition Night - 10/12 – game vs. Obama HS

• McPeakes are jumping up and down for this job.  Jessica Fabus-Rosser will assist.

• Colleen is doing the cookie table.

• Typically, there is a ceremony before the game and then dinner for the team and families after the game.

 

Youth Night -9/17 vs CV – NEED A CHAIR FOR THIS EVENT

• Combined with the boys (their game is after ours).

• We’ll do the usual youth night festivities: Chuck a Duck, free water and hot dog for kids wearing KO gear, the kids tunnel, etc.  All ideas welcome!

• Not a lot of prep for this – just need some ideas, flyer etc. 

 

Banquet – Tentatively 11/8  - Place TBD

• Chris Cratsley and Hannah DeWeese have offered to chair this. Please let us know if anyone else wants to join in for this planning.

• This is just a date that we thought would work out good for everyone (bonus it’s a Steelers bye week).
